The company was founded in 1928 by Otto KNECHT as a construction company at the corporate group’s head office today in Metzingen.

What started out as one single company, is a powerful SME construction company that operates all over Europe, which is still family-run and managed with passion and creativity by Rainer Knecht today. Mr Jürgen Maute joined the Otto Knecht GmbH & Co. KG management board as Mr Günter Knecht’s successor in 2007.

The company divisions range from the production of precast concrete to the construction of prefabricated cellars to system construction and its special product line of metal greenhouse equipment with CNC machining.

The corporate group operates several production and sales sites in Germany and Switzerland. The products are sold all over Germany and Europe.

Knecht has stood for continuity, inventiveness, quality and comprehensive service for 80 years.
Customised made-to-measure precast concrete elements are produced out of steel concrete for structural and civil engineering as well as for cellar building using industrial prefabrication at the company’s own concrete plant. Computer-controlled production plants guarantee the perfect use of materials with exemplary value for money and production that does not depend on the weather.

KNECHT Manufaktur emerged from the KNECHT concrete plants in Metzingen and is a small workshop that specialises in exclusive one-offs and small series made out of concrete.
Steps, tables, window benches, shower trays for indoors and outdoors, washbasins, kitchens, worktops, bowls, paving and flooring, concrete shelves, tiled stove benches or complete private and commercial furnishing concepts.
